The Kenny Loggins Factor

There are some people in this world that need more things to do with their free time. with the economy still in the tank, there are more of these people than ever before. this is fortunate for us because they have time to research, write and blog articles such as this one. It had me laughing quite a bit so enjoy:
Are your parents awesome?

I stumble on things from time to time. this blog I find interesting for some reason. Maybe it is the idea that at one point in our parents lives they were cool, fun, and maybe had a little party in them. the other part that intrigues me is thinking back on my life and wondering what pictures my future kids would post on there because most assuredly there will come a day when I am not so in touch with the latest and greatest. So check out the blog, it is just pictures but very entertaining:
Photoshop and Image recognition..now you to can make sick composites
This internet application has been blowing up over the past few days, those crafty asians have done it again:

PhotoSketch is an internet-based program that can take the rough, labeled sketch on the left and automagically turn it into the naff montage on the right.
Step 1. Draw the outlines of the figures you want in your picture – anything from seagulls to a Mercedes, whatever tickles your fancy,
Step 2. Add labels for each of the items, as well as for the background.
Step 3. PhotoSketch will then find real-life images to match your doodles and put them together in a Photoshopped image that will make your jaw drop.
Seems unbelievable but—as the video shows—it works:
CanvasPop

So I have had a few people ask me about doing the photo onto canvas thing and where I thought would be a good place to go for it. there are several places but damn…they are pricey. Here is a really cool option that is worth a look. CanvasPop ($49 and up) makes it easier than ever to do so. As the world’s only large format printing company to work with images of any resolution, CanvasPop allows you to make gorgeous canvas prints of pretty much any image, even if they’re taken with your iPhone or nabbed from Facebook, Photobucket, or Flickr. Once you’ve picked your image, you can choose from a number of cool filters to enhance the look, or leave it as-is; a team of designers is also available should you need assistance.

Random but true thoughts on life
Here is an e-mail that has been circulating around my group of friends. I think they are so unbelievably true, they had to go up here.
Random Thoughts of the Day:
- I wish Google Maps had an “Avoid Ghetto” routing option.
- I don’t understand the purpose of the line, “I don’t need to drink to have fun.” Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they’ve invented the lighter?
